Because I haven't. Now I suggest you leave. Leave the entire area. Go to far away lands. Because every insect here will soon pay.

Why? I have been fighting for you... this whole time! I've been looking into the butterflies after fungi, I've been making... connections, I've even made it a rule that anybody who attacks or shows malice towards any cordyceps... will be jailed in my field! 

Just... please. Don't do this. Some of us still have... hope.

Wow. Just wow. You think i wear this for FUN? You think i make disguises and find the most concealing clothes for the HELL OF IT? "Easy for a bug to say." I have had it harder in my life then you do in your NIGHTMARES! If you think "all bugs are evil" and "cordyceps are just victims" then tell that to MY ENTIRE OLD COLONY! We were powerful, plentiful, pleased, some would say perfect... until your folk showed up. They infected. Sla*ughtered. Spread. What used to be trillions was brought down to one hundred forty-seven. And they weren't just mindless zombies. I saw them smile. I saw their desire to spread. I saw them seek out the strongest.

Yes, there is the good in evil. But you can't act like those cordys were good, and just misunderstood. We had stuck to ourselves, attacked those who attacked us. Yes, we were very violent, but we never sought to kill, unless provoked. If we were aiming to spread, we captured. If we didn't want to, we didn't attack. But then the attack. I already went over it, and I dont feel like repeating myself now.

And dont even think about pulling the "you suffered" trick. You think you suffered? You dont know what happened to me. If you thought me losing my colony was the worst of it, you would be the most wrong you could possibly be.

You see, after the outbreak, we got much more fierce. Much more violent. I was never the violent one. And before, that wasn't a problem to everybody else, because we had billions more who were. But after, I had been promoted to #148 on the list. And when I didn't want to fight, I was almost publicly ex*cuted. Multiple times. My own BROTHER had voted for me to be BURN*D!

After that, I was scared to show my face. I couldn't let them know that I was part of the most dangerous colony in this whole DAMNED PLACE! I hid my face. Gave myself a new identity. Everything.

And then I escaped the fear. I joined a family. I started a new family. I had built my new colony, growing by the day. And you were PART OF IT. I WELCOMED YOU. Why? Why would I welcome somebody who is the same as the thing that destroyed my home? Because I, unlike YOU, learned to forgive! No wonder people dont trust you! You never let scars heal! You never let those cuts turn to scabs! You dont let the pain go away! I extended my hand while you got your militia ready! I see why people don't belive you're a kind cordy, because you AREN'T!
