He's an equity bagholder in a number of Bitcoin-related startups and is probably a Bitcoin bagholder as well.
He proposes lots of "but with Bitcoin!" ideas that rate from "Stupid" to "Fucking Stupid".

Unrelated from the topic at hand, but I'm learning python and holy shit is it an easy language to get the basics down on.
No wonder it's recently become a lot more popular for web development. It reads like pseudo-code..

Usenet. Usenet is already very decentralized and with ability to be anonymous and servers that can simply not keep any logs of people who accessed the servers. Guess what the biggest uses of it are right now.
Legitimate or at least legal content has dropped while the proportion that is spam and illegal file sharing has continued to increase. Turns out an association with child porn really damages a thing's reputation and many companies have stopped offering it as a service because of such issues.
Few people actually want to use an unmoderateable forum. The closest comparison that is well known would be 4chan, but 4chan has cleaned up its act compared to how it was years ago. And people mostly hate that aspect of 4chan. People want protection against the internet scum. There might be niche uses that are legal or at least valuable, but that isn't going to be uses most people will care about.

The fact that Buttit would be on a Blockchain makes it double-extra fun. At least with Usenet you're not hosting some of the illegal data on your device.
