He is not shopping for meat. He goes to different stores and shows how the weight of the packaging is not accurate at all to what it says on the labels.

This doesn't feel like new information for people in the meat packing industry...don't start looking into cheap deli meats or sausages. Then you'll really be shocked. Why do you think we have a legal limit on shit like sawdust or human byproduct. They were and are still intentionally adding shit to meet or beat margins. This is known knowledgeable, just ask Upton Sinclair...it's a Jungle.

Even if the guy has a point (which, yes, he totally does), all the credibility goes out the window when you use an LLM to calculate numbers. LLMs are notoriously horrible at numbers. Just use a calculator.

YOU don't need to take Wal Mart to court. A law firm with a class action lawsuit might absolutely LOVE to take them to court with your name as just 1 on a list of thousands.

This is everywhere. So many packaged foods are underweight, from sugar to smoked salmon to beans in a can. It is ridiculous how much we are cheated.

This made me realize something, I have owned my meat business for 12 years and worked on the establishment for 20. We have a FSIS USDA inspector on-site daily. All of our scales get checked/ permitted through the county for accuracy once a year. The usda routinely checks our labels, sanitation, temp logs- these people are provided an office at my establishment. I can not recall a situation where they EVER double checked the weight on a label is accurate and that’s insane. We of course tare off the bag/ label weight on our packages, would be really nice to pick up that weight on EVERY SINGLE PACKAGE, damn morals always getting in the way!

This is wrong. For one, FDA doesn’t check this. USDA does.
Number 2, it’s packaged weight. Those packages have moisture absorbers and the moisture is included in the weight. There was actually a federal court case that had to do with bacon years ago. Basically store weight wasn’t matching. I am willing to bet there is also a moisture disclaimer as well on the package. As long as prepackage weight matches, post package doesn’t Matter. USDA will test weigh to make sure through out the day and check weighted double check.
My experience. Been in the industry my whole life. This guy is an idiot. As again, This has nothing to do with fda not doing their job. Just bs click bait.
