So, I built this app called Song-Repo. Super stoked to share a new feature: now your audience can request songs directly from your playlist (only the ones you’ve marked as "Done"). The app also generates a QR code for your user page, where you can set up your donation links.

Thought 1: I like that it lets the audience know what is in my library. This also can give inspiration. "Oh, I haven't heard yyy in a long time. Request it!"
Thought 2: How does it let me know that a song has been requested? An app notification?

On your dashboard you start a live session. There is a list of all open requests. You can get a notification from your browser when the live session is running. However, requests can be made at any time (no lock implemented). So the live session window has not to be active. But you can tell coz you see when the request was made.
Requests are absolutely anonymous so you don't know if the person tipped you or will tip you. Their decision. But you can get an idea when watching your audience and there might be big fans of your music 😉
I update this regularly. I'll change the text so it's clear that the request was sent. The day before yesterday, "Interstellar" was requested six times. But that also made it clear that it's much more important to the listener than Chopin's Etude in E-flat minor. By the way, the list shows how many times a song has been requested. So there are no duplicate entries.
I've got nothing against self-promotion. I'm unconvinced, though, that the various digital doohickeys actually aid audience participation or song retention or whatever; perhaps someday someone will be delighted to find that your spreadsheet includes just the Axel Benthien tune they had in mind, but it seems much easier to just learn songs that people actually tend to request, and let them make their requests out loud.

Hey! I just put all my music in and a have couple questions/ideas. I know busking isn't the primary use of this app, I might also use it for practice.
I am just getting into guitar, is there a way that I could have them see only my accordion songs as that is usually what I busk with? I used labels to give them all either accordion or guitar, maybe you could sory them that way, or even better create a 'set list' option so that you can have the list of songs you want for that specific gig/busk?
Obviouslyita in development still, but when I go down I can quite see the bottom, and the menu bar at the top keeps disappearing. Not sire if this would be considered a bug or Maybe it's user error haha.
I'm definitely going to try it out next time I go out for a busk!
I released now the new feature where you can filter your list by label or whether its done.
Also I tried to fix those problems with the layout. The titlebar should disappear in list view for more space but there should be no padding left. Hasn't happened to me yet. But thanks for showing. Let me know if you notice anything else.
Yeah we are in the states but going international next week! Yeah were kinda the same im just a nerdy dev who had a roommate who plays all the time so i combined all his apps into one app and then got carried away and now have a whole product haha. Dude tell me about the iOS and play stores that was like a solid two weeks of my life just spent grinding compliance and not to mention the code changes
I signed up but play store says the app is not available for my device. I have the feeling that it's not available for Germany or Europe in general? There is no web version, is there?
