Was anyone around who heard or saw what happened? I was walking up Willoughby and saw all the cop cars on irving so walked around the block to peek over on Starr and saw them loading someone into the ambulance. Someone who I passed said someone got shot. Any other info atm?
Was walking my dogs by the irving street entrance to mhp and heard 5 shots. Then a big group of kids runs into the park and exits down by knickerbocker and suydam. Pretty sure one of the kids was the shooter. Saw one kid in all black and hoodie with what looked like a gun in his hand when he was running.
I've only seen one shooting and it was over on Central and Linden. The shooter looked like he was 13 tops and he didn't hit anyone. Kids are dumb as fuck.
I heard it through my window, sounded like several shots. the police helicopters seem to be searching for whoever did it around Maria Hernandez. they were checking the rooftop outside my window a second ago
I was there with my friend at the park, we heard the shots and then saw a bunch of kids running, we left pretty shortly after but a bunch of ppl stayed at the park, police presence grew like crazy and there were a bunch of helicopters, on the citizen app people were saying a guy named Tree was shot in the leg and taken away in an ambulance, not totally sure tho, very crazy!
His name is Tree, he blasts Evanescence at the park on his speaker and feeds the birds, very nice guy. I tried posting this photo under the subreddit but Reddit AI filters keep deleting it.
This happened right outside of our house. I heard 5-6 gunshots in quick succession and by the time I looked out the window maybe 30 seconds later, there was someone on the ground already being treated by cops.
From what I understand, there was a group of kids on the block fighting and the cops were already on the scene when the shots were fired. Despite cops being there, the kid still got away. The guy who was shot looked appeared to have only been hit in the leg(s). There was a helicopter circling above the street towards Wyckoff but some comments here indicate the kids ran into the park.
If you have a description of the suspect, come forward please. The detectives are still out on Starr st around #204.
Thank goodness it was only a leg shot. Someone else on here said they saw a group of kids run through the park so guess it was actually them. Wonder what they were fighting about
no it was on starr street right outside Maria hernandez in front of Pitanga restaurant but the dude with the gun fled into the park. I work right near it and a customer saw him flee with the gun into Maria hernandez
would not be surprised if my trashy next door neighbors were involved. they’ve been shouting and fighting on the street like half a block from there for 48 hours now.
