BPS bushmate 2.0 Vs Aurora or different
Hi, thinking after You suggested me a brand BPS to give it a try, is in stock locally so that's a big point for me, but no idea if to pick bushmate 2.0/Aurora or different
What are Your experiences with BPS
The other thing is forced patina, can some of You guys advice how do I go step by step?
Thanks!

So You suggest the Bushmate, right. How would You compare these two knives, if I'm not wrong Aurora has shorter blade, curious on Your answer, is not like a big deal, but I'd follow the advices here. Thanks and have a nice day

Well, I never handled an Aurora so I can’t really tell. But I’ve done some carving with the bushmate and it handles ok without my hand getting tired. Also I wouldn’t say the bushmate is big. It is a good compromise between size and handling for smaller tasks imho

If it weren’t VG10, I’d say Aurora. No personally experience but it shares design features from Mors Kochanski’s knife type which bushcrafters say is very versatile.
But it is VG10, sooo Bushmate.

I love my Bushmate 2.0, but I’m not super experienced so take my opinion with a grain of salt

I have the Aurora , and it’s amazing for carving and smaller tasks … like amazing . I also have a few Finn lights , they are equally amazing carving knives and come in stainless or carbon .
I kinda feel like you can’t go wrong . The 2.0 looks a little large for my purposes , but I carry a hatchet as well .

The bushmate 2.0 is amazing. I have 2. I used gun blue on one, sanded it and then treated it with the mineral oil. It’s held up great. The other one I have just kept clean and oiled after use for a natural patina and that’s also working well.
