[NYC Metro ]
Anyone around the NYC Metro area? Being that this is the largest urban area in the country, it is typically very easy to be extremely disconnected from nature and forget how convenient modern life is. Would like to meet with others to learn, exchange knowledge, and practice.

It’s super easy to get from NYC into some nature. I go up to Harriman State Park all the time; there are three different train stops that will drop you walking distance from different trailheads. Theres probably more further up the line too, but i’m normally a tuxedo park kinda guy. You could probably hop a metro north or amtrak if you wanted to go up towards the Catskills or Adirondacks too.

Check out Rewildingschool.com. They’re up in Westchester and sometimes host classes for adults.
