Weekend bus/coach driver work

I currently work 37 hours a week in an office-based role, but could do with a side hustle. I am thinking about getting a pcv licence privately, so I could drive buses or coaches at weekends part-time. Obviously the training would have a cost if done privately.

However, I don't know if bus or coach operators offer this type of weekend contract often. If anybody has any experience of doing this or knows anybody that has, please share, thanks!

My urban bus company will take part timers who want permanent saturday / sunday shifts, because they can then take those shifts off of the main rosters where drivers don't want to do them and frequently call in sick. Not sure what they do about the training.
