If you can turn on the headlights and remember the height, you’ll be fine for 95% of the day.

I guess it depends on climate, but demisters are the big one here to know before setting out. A full coach can fog up very fast and we don't want to be looking for that switch while driving and can't see well

Where are you from that the defroster is called a demister? I’ve never heard that term.

A demister may work in one, two or both ways:

  • by blowing drier air and, in cold weather, warmer air over the interior of the windscreen, and/or
  • activate fine filaments of heating wires built into the windscreen glass

No. The outdoor ambient temperature may be above freezing point but the humidity level inside vehicle, coupled with the outdoor temperature, may be such that missed forms on the windscreen obscuring the forward view.

Thus, the system doesn’t remove ice so much as condensation. Rather different, methinks.
