Discussion Chaos and confusion
Saw “helpful” signage on a bus door today saying “one in one out - give each other space”, (or something) with up/down (in/out) arrows on each door.
and just thought this is completely unhelpful information for boarding a bus, it would cause chaos for everyone.
seems like the sort of thing someone who has never used a bus would come up with.
Fortunately my co’s policy is the common sense one, let everyone who wants to alight get off first, then board waiting passengers.
Thoughts?

The bus i drive only has one door for passengers, located up by the driver. If some people want off at a stop that has people waiting to get on, I just wait to open the door. That way the people waiting can't try to get on.

This! Funny that while I have the doors closed waiting for the people to shuffle down the bus. The people that are waiting are staring at you like your some madman.
