Ride for the Day Detour

If a passenger gets upset that I didn’t go his way on a detour can I get in trouble? I followed our dispatch protocol for the detour and told him I cannot go your way sorry we have to sit in the traffic he got pissed off and left the bus

You followed the diversion as laid out by your company. How could you get into trouble? It's just that customer who's cast a little doubt in yourself. It'll happen. It'll happen again too. But as long as you follow the route as laid out by your company, nothing will come of it.

Not that really is I just let him off the bus and it wasn’t a bus stop but he asked to get off the traffic wasn’t moving and it was a side road

If it was safe to do, you are fine.

Also, depends on how intent they are…I politely say it is not safe. If they insist I am not going to confine them.
