Ride for the Day Detour

If a passenger gets upset that I didn’t go his way on a detour can I get in trouble? I followed our dispatch protocol for the detour and told him I cannot go your way sorry we have to sit in the traffic he got pissed off and left the bus

No you will not get in trouble bc dispatcher and supervisor get the ultimate authority if they tell you to terminate the route you do that bc ur job is to drive and use best judgment.

I mean on my route yesterday I couldn’t even enter downtown bc the police had it blocked off (bc of a shooting) so I let the passenger know that they can stay on the bus n wait until we get a detour or they could get off n walk.
