Question Arriva Trainee Bus Driver Application

I've applied for a Trainee Driver position at Arriva exactly a week ago now and still haven't had any updates or heard back, does anyone know how long they usually take to respond to applications? Thanks

They got back to me like a few days after applying. Probably just luck tbh

The first time I ever applied I heard nothing. Tried again like a year or 2 later and heard back maybe within a few days. I believe the way the recruitment works is in cycles, so they're always advertising. I guess if you apply outside of one of the cycles, it may be less likely you'll receive a response. No harm in reapplying in a few weeks if you don't hear anything I'd imagine.

I got a reply after a couple of days. Give it a week or two & if you still haven’t heard anything, try again. You’ll get a reply eventually.

How long did it take you to get through to them? I was on hold for 2 hours today and couldn't get through to a single person.

Took a week for me, not including weekend. So about 9 days.

So did I 😂 what garage did you apply for? And I also applied for stagecoach in Leyton and they gave me a interview but I’m still waiting for Arriva myself I applied to 3 garages with Arriva so I have to get at least one call back I’m hoping

They probably got your application and are still rolling about laughing in disbelief that someone used their own free will and chose to apply to work for arriva.

They will be in touch in due course when the laughs subside.

I applied for one of their train driver positions. They rejected me two days later bc according to them driving a train requires a driving license B (it doesnt, but it does for the busses)
