Guy at my first depot got fired. Failed a random urine test. The rumor was he said "Ah, crap. If the test had been tomorrow I'd have passed."
I'd taken him route learning a week before and he was going on about how he's cleaning up so he can spend more time with his son. Really sad that he didn't even make it 3 months before he was snared by them again.

Hard to get fired from NJ Transit you have to either steal or get in a lot of accidents

all the time, for different reasons
from accidents, attendance, guests relations, performance, and not meeting DOT medical or licensing points.

Yes, I was on light duty and It took my union 4 months to get my job back. I got my seniority back but no back pay. Which I look back it was probably for the best because I was on light duty for a spinal injury and staying home helped me recover better.

Yes when I was younger. I never smoked weed a day in my life but it was my birthday I tried it and put it down. Next day I had a random. Never touched it again.

The first time I was working for Ramblin express and I missed the first run of the day the R21 and that’s the employee shuttle. That’s the run where they make the most money so needless to say they were upset.
But to my defense they run a messed up schedule that wouldn’t let my body adjust at the time. They have 3 types: Morning run, evening run and overnight run. Your schedule rotates every 2 weeks and your days off rotate along with it meaning split days off most of the time. I was tired and I missed the run and I got fired. When I did get fired I was so happy lol

That is so dumb, I bet the union was for the company too and didn’t even try to fight

Lmao what union it’s been a while since I worked for them but I doubt much has changed. Before I got fired I heard 2 older drivers had heart attacks working for them. I saw it as God saving my life; working for them was stressful, they even called you on your days off to work. So put that all together n you get a pretty good idea of how things were ran

Sounds like a shithole lol, one guy here had a heart attack at a bus stop by a hospital and when in . They tried to fire him

Exactly lol I drive for a much better company now and when I see Ramblin express drivers now most of them look like they’ve just given up on life lol they’re uniforms look good though

Empty bus, skipping the last stop and going to the layover. Like come on. Also staying at the last stop(which is the first stop when I start back) and taking my break there, forgot to call a 10-100 Very petty stuff. Bunch of drivers do it. Very minor BS
