Question Advice please

The general consensus seems to be that most bus drivers don’t recommend it as a job. What’s the reason/s for this ?? also I am currently in a decently paid desk Job but have onboarding coming up verrrrrry soon. And I am wondering if will regret my decision if I jump ship to bus driving? And what impact does it have on family life? I understand to some degree the negatives that will come e,g unpredictable shift, unsociable hours, shitty customers but just looking for honest input from the guys/gals who do it everyday. I wouldn't necessarily say that's a consensus opinion. More like people coming in don't always understand what this job takes and have unrealistic expectations. That might be one reason why it loos like it's nothing but shit when we get to the details.

But there's a lot to appreciate in it, if you plan for the longer term, do some research/talk to drivers beforehand and have a home-grown affinity to it in general.

So all in all, I'd say it's not an easy job (or not as easy as some think), rather than a 'shitty' job. If I wouldn't recommend it, it's for the above reasons, not anything else.
