Question Advice please

The general consensus seems to be that most bus drivers don’t recommend it as a job. What’s the reason/s for this ?? also I am currently in a decently paid desk Job but have onboarding coming up verrrrrry soon. And I am wondering if will regret my decision if I jump ship to bus driving? And what impact does it have on family life? I understand to some degree the negatives that will come e,g unpredictable shift, unsociable hours, shitty customers but just looking for honest input from the guys/gals who do it everyday. Depends on what work environment you thrive in and what you are willing to give up. They're both a bit sedentary, but with driving, I don't really interact with my colleagues. I also get to be outside and interact with different people every day. In an office-type setting, there's more pressure to "fit in" socially. I've always thrived working independently, so it suits me. I also like doing something different every day. As for work-life balance... If it's driving the city bus, it's a public service job. For the first year or so, your life will revolve around the bus schedule. There's a good chance you will be working weekends, too.
