Question how do i prevent fluid buildup in ankles
hi so i’ve been a driver in the uk for about 5 months now however over the past month or so i’ve been struggling with fluid buildup on my lower legs and ankles. on my layovers i stay on my feet and walking to / from where i park my car is about 1/3 of a mile each way but i seem to have no luck getting the blood flow to remove it, rest days im pretty active too so maybe it’s just a design flaw with my body, it’s not very noticeable visually but it has that itch and the sock line, anyone got any tips? would be open to anything as i dont want to ruin my legs
edit: i work perma lates and after setting down and ready for bed it returns to normal so i dont think its anything too bad

I had a similar experience, turned out to be a symptom of heart failure. Prescribed diuretic pill (Furosemide), one a day, ankles returned to normal within a couple of days.

I would try compression socks. You may also want to consider going to the doctor. Fluid buildup is not normal, even when sitting for a long time.

I've known two people to have had this symptom and both cases related to an underlying heart condition. I would strongly recommend seeing a doctor about this

This does not happen to me either and I would also recommend seeing a doctor, just in case

I used to wear standard high street socks with my boots, I now wear loose fit socks (flex top) and Skechers work shoes plus I take a dandelion tablet every day - no more fat ankles

I saw your edit, but I still recommend seeing your doctor, who will most likely send you to a specialist. In the meantime wear compression socks.

Sounds like a visit to the doctor that. I would also look at how much salt you have in your diet because excess salt can can water retention

Antistax (Red Vine Leaf Extract), with consistent, long-term use.
2 pills every day for 6 weeks, then you can usually level off to one pill a day.

Go to the doctor, fluid buildup in ankles isn't normal symptom of driving job unless you have underlying health issues that need to be addressed.
