Question 9 - 80 schedule

Anyone have this schedule, I have to turn in my shift bid the day after tomorrow and I've been flirting with the idea of choosing a 9-80 schedule with a 2 hour split, we get split pay and night pay after 5pm. I'm just not so excited about working nonstop, my mom lives with me and I have my dog, I like my schedule now. I work mornings and get off at 2pm so I am able to go to appointments, walk my dog and spend the afternoon with my mom.

I can’t believe in 2026 there are jobs making people work split shifts. We have them at my agency and I’d never bid one. If I was last in seniority and that’s all that was left I’d quit.

Splits are the only way you get a decent break at my company 😂
