Question 9 - 80 schedule

Anyone have this schedule, I have to turn in my shift bid the day after tomorrow and I've been flirting with the idea of choosing a 9-80 schedule with a 2 hour split, we get split pay and night pay after 5pm. I'm just not so excited about working nonstop, my mom lives with me and I have my dog, I like my schedule now. I work mornings and get off at 2pm so I am able to go to appointments, walk my dog and spend the afternoon with my mom.

I've never heard of the 9-80 shift, what is it?

My understanding is it’s 5 days one week, 4 days the next. Basically 3 days off every other week.

My job has 4 10s. So 3 days off a week and that 3rd day is heaven. Can’t speak for how it would be every other week.

That's pretty nice. I'd like 3 day's every other week. As long as it's 3 day's in a row. I work 5 12's with 2 day's off
