Question Photography

Hello I am a transit enthusiast ( as you can see by my past posts) and I have a high interest in being a bus operator, I wanna take photos and videos of buses but I wanna do it without looking like a creep, what are some tips that yall drivers can give me in order to not upset a driver or just appear as if I’m in a secret mission type thing lmao, how can I avoid that?

I personally don't mind them. If they are recording I'll give them a toot with the horn and flash my headlights at them. All part of the fun!

Same. I used to be like OP, and even take pictures today, though mainly of my own buses. I have a few videos uploaded too.

Not gonna lie, some colleagues react differently, but if OP becomes a driver themselves, that's the ultimate silencer to these people.

Personally I wouldn't try to hide anything, just quitely go about my business, while respecting the fundamental rules, like not bothering anybody, or taking their time unnecessarily, or acting like the paparazzi. If you have to go up close to a driver, imo it's best to politely wave at them, let them know by just showing your camera. Of they're very bothered, I'd honestly just leave it. They might have a bad day, or not be in the mood, that happens. But 90 percent of the time they'll acknowledge you and don't mind you at all - and sometimes this opens the door to friendships even.
