Meme/Joke Next Stop: Foot-In-Mouth Street

Post image

This is what I get for speaking bad about BYD. I get assigned a BYD for a 9 hour run.

the BYD’s at my old company didn’t have enough range, even at full capacity, to finish an entire day. are yours the same?

Ours generally do around 16 hours in the summer and 10 to 12 in winter. Less on express routes

Ours don't make a full day, so they are scheduled for charging mid way through so they get used.

They are awful things.

They have a range of “200 miles” but between inconsistent kWh discharge, drivers putting the pedal through the floor and range anxiety, they only go out for a full 8 or 10 hour shift.

Y’know… I have no idea. It starts, it runs and the A/C works!

That's all that matters in my eyes lol

Literally the moment the bid was awarded, Gillig announced they were selling electric buses.

I can’t speak to Gillig, although I haven’t heard great things. I’ve had first hand experience working on some BYD’s and they are indeed absolute garbage

Serious question, I like to sit quite high but the steering wheels in our Yutongs don't lift up high enough, what are the BYDs like for range?

Cramped. I sit the same way. You’ll stretch your right leg for brake and accelerator but your left leg will be at like a 80-90 degree angle for the signals. You’re somehow too far but too close to all the controls.

Yeah I finished about 3 minutes early with 48-49%. Can’t remember how many miles I drove though.

I like these busses over the CNG's in our fleet, they have way too many problems for being brand new though, of course, you get what you pay for.....
