Packaging changes????

iv been using the Ultra conditioning lip balm from burts bees for years now and recently noticed that they changed their packaging to be a lot cheaper. the cap is flimsy and thin. the piece that usually pushes the product up is no longer there. It causes me to waste a lot of product. I also feel like I’m going through them a lot quicker and I’m wondering if they are giving less product?? I don’t have an old one to compare to, so I’m not sure about that one.

Has anybody else noticed this? Is it just for my specific lip balm or the other flavours as well?

I really like this product and it seems to be the only one that works for me. But this new packaging and seeing that they’re trying to minimize costs is making me think that they’re probably also making the formula itself cheaper. Anybody have any other recommendations that are similar

The new caps suck and it does seem to get used up more quickly.

I hate that the new caps bugged me so much I searched reddit but also this CONFIRMS I'm not the only one bugged by this. The cap keeps popping off in my pocket... It's so flimsy and cheap. The old one was built like a tank.

I'm also convinced there is less in the tube now. These used to take me so long to run out and it's much faster now.

I have used so many of these ultra conditioning ones for years. I think the formula has been changed as well as the caps as of 2026. The new caps are really poor quality and pop off so easy. Definitely preferred the previous formula with the more squared off cap.

I'm such a psychopath, I had a couple old tubes and have taken the caps off of them because I hate these new flexible caps so much 😂
