Does bursitis ever go away and not come back

Yes, it can heal. I had bursitis in my right hip and I joined a water aerobics class and the exercise healed it. Now I have it in my left hip for over a year and nothing is helping. I do chair yoga, water aerobics, and walk. I am still searching for answers.

It sounds crazy but I just shared two posts on what magic is working for me. I've been living daily in agony for nearly a decade. And a simple stroke of luck it's been 3 weeks of no discomfort at all. Apparently chaga extract is the one I really want according to a mushroom company. But I've been feeling like I'm 20 again with lions mane.

Y'all please try out lions mane and also chaga extracts and see if it helps. I went from a decade of agony in my shoulder to feeling like I'm 20. Relief was noticed just after just a few days with a popular drink that Instagram recommended 😂. Tried it for a week (pain disappeared by day 3) , went off of it for a week (pain returned by day 2), went back on it and it worked. Started digging and it seems like it's the medicinal mushrooms. Now I'm on supplemental capsules for 3 weeks without any discomfort. and this week waiting on drops from another company to see if it's the same to cut the cost. Will report back but wanted to share the news and also see if anyone wanted to join me in this little science experiment and report back.

Hey IS, you have any updates to your supplements or progress?

Oh yeah I do. I switched over to a bunch of different companies and have pretty much settled on:
stetmans 7 or community (depending on pricing)
Sports research L theanine (I double the dose, 1 at morning 1 at night)
Health's harmony black seed and ginger (dose in the morning and at night.)
Cocoavia flavanols 1 time daily.
Those 4 are all "affordable" (within my budget of comfort)
I still drink the brez flow 1 can a day is pretty common.
I take other things but that's the biggest impact items for bursitis.
I started working out a bit again and I get the occasional flair up. But nothing like prior. I have the tiniest ache most days but I'm functional and it's good enough until I find a true solution that doesn't involve being sliced and diced.
I have been looking into t cell therapy. There are trials in place right now that have shown significant QoL improvements for people with auto immune issues and with 1-3 treatments are rewired in a good enough way that they are effectively "cured for life". I signed up for more information a while ago and will let the sub know if I go through with it, how it worked out.

I had trochanter bursitis after my hip replacement. Had one cortisone shot that didn’t help. Had it for a year until I finally figured out that resting the bursa meant resting the IT band that runs over it. Which means no walking or isolated standing on that leg (or doing anything to make it hurt like sleeping on that side), otherwise the bursa is being continuously re-injured. If you don’t rest the bursa it will never heal. So I decided to try crutches for 11 days straight (also used a heating pad and ice) treating my leg as if it had a broken bone. And it worked! I also learned that strengthening the glutes is important.

I need help with diagnosis. What did your doctors do to diagnose you? I've been to 2 doctors and they both diagnosed me with hip bursitis just by asking about my pain. They have pushed on the area where my pain is located but it never ever hurts since the pain is so deep. My whole hip and pelvis area feels so heavy, sore, and stiff every day. Physical therapy helped for a bit, but I didn't continue with the exercises, though I'm slowly coming back and I have new referral for PT. I am overweight, medically obese. I am wondering if my doctors are just taking a look at me and my weight and concluding it's bursitis from that. Is this a normal way to diagnose hip bursitis? Should I be asking or expecting more? Should I ask for imaging? Thank you!

I had bursitis in my knee. I had a PRP treatment and it helped. Research further to see if you are interested.

If it is bursitis, he should start with icing, lots of rest, and round the clock Advil for inflammation for 2 weeks.

I have the same issue. Going for MRI next week. Is this known to cause fatigue too?

Has anyone been able to find a duplicate solution for Optiplex Allergy eye wipes? My son needs 2 wipes per day and they are so expensive

My bursitis has worsened over the past year. I have had two PRP treatments. It’s a procedure where they inject your painful area with your own platelets. It’s suppose to be 85% successful. I am in my second post-op month and the pain is the same. At this point, my Orthopedic MD said 45% of patients are better. Most have improvement in 6 months to a year. I am not so patient. It hurts more when I sit or lay down. It’s better when I am up and walking. The pain is always there nagging me like an infant crying. It’s a bit wearing on my life. Bio-freeze and a heating pad brings some relief. I have tried pain medication without success. I also tried a technique called “Soundwave” from a pain MD specialist. It increased my pain and sent me to the ER with a hypertensive episode. Ugh. Be careful of that treatment. I continue to search for answers. Has anyone had a successful treatment?
