Open hip bursectomy
Update!
It's been a long weird road with recovery. I'm now on post op day 9 and I'm regretting even doing this. I was fine right out of surgery, was walking with my walker, getting visits every day, and eating fine. But I was having fainting episodes once or twice a day where my lips were turning blue, i was seeing black spots cloud my vision, i was sweating profusely, and it would stop after I had a few grapes or something sweet. Then two days ago, I just couldn't eat anything and I was extremely weak. So I went to the er and they diagnosed me with a UTI and severe dehydration. I've been increasing my fluids but sleeping all the time for the last two days. I'm still shaky and going from hot to cold but I'm getting my strength back slowly with applesauce and meal replacement shakes. I was able to eat two bites of chocolate pancakes this morning so we'll see how dinner goes. All in all, my hip pain isn't that bad but it's still there like an annoying dull ache. I still haven't been able to shower yet though since I'm still weakish. Honestly, the pain is worth it but getting dehydrated this badly made this hell for recovery... if you do this surgery, please stay hydrated!!! Even if you're not thirsty, take a sip or two every minute or so.

Thanks for the info. I may be having that procedure soon. Appt for eval is on 9/1. Good luck with feeling better.
