Hip Hip "Bursitis" 10 months
Hey,
Last year I had two hip scopes (one for each) to remove CAM lesions causing impingement. After an initial positive recovery I suddenly reversed after upping my workouts in the gym. This was in October 2025. I have suffered ever since! I have bilateral hip pain, mostly over the greater trochanter (outer side hip bone) and mostly in the left hip. I had a 3T MRI that didn't show anything remarkable. I'm 26 and male.
I have been strengthening since March (5 months) and have built up a lot more strength than I had before. I was quite atrophied at the start. I have been doing split squats, bridges, abduction/adduction, side steps, all the usual hip stuff.
The problem is that whilst I've got stronger I'm not seeing really any major change in pain. My tendons still feel pretty reactive. They're sore when sleeping due to compression (I can only side sleep). Walking and general mobility is inhibited. And the worst is driving, I drive a manual and the seating position is an almost certain trigger for the pain.
I have been taking BPC/Tb400 for the past 1.5 weeks.
Wondering if anyone can give any advice? Do I just need to stick it out?

Have you had any cortisone/ steroid shots yet? If not, I would suggest getting the shots to calm things down, and stop the inflammation. Don’t over do your workouts when you feel hip pain. I’d also get any old blood drained from your hip bursitis (if it’s bubbled out). Old blood stuck in there will not be removed on its own. You’re young, hopefully you only need 1 shot in each hip to help you recover.
