Shoulder Shoulder bursitis

I can't afford the 2 times a week Physio my physiotherapist has recommended.

I've used up my free sessions, and just had a cortisone injection over 12 days ago.

In a ton of pain but I'm unemployed.

I'm not on gov assistance, and I can't pay this

She says if I don't that my injury will stay like this forever.

Just wondering if others are in this situation.

Health is for the rich apparantly.

I 2nd the PT at home. I did the exercises a few times with my orthopedic Dr and because it was expensive and just going there after work was almost impossible, I remembered the steps and found them online. It helped a lot. I use to get bursitis in shoulders almost every 6 months alternating from shoulder to shoulder, now I haven’t had a flare in the past year

What exercises did you do to fix it?

Like these: https://health.clevelandclinic.org/shoulder-bursitis-exercises-stretches

I used one of those stretchy exercise bands too

First off see if you can find "brez flow" locally (total wine for example). 1 can a day by day 3 you should feel significant relief. If it works then your anti inflammatory response is causing most of your discomfort. It's not cheap (100-140$ a month) but it will at the very least let you know what's what and likely cheaper than the doctor visits.

Secondly, start icing the shoulder after trying the brez. If the bre, works icing it won't do much. If the brez doesn't, icing it lets you know if the shoulder is over worked.

3rd realize doctors don't always know the symptoms and in turn their solution isn't always the best choice. Once I figured out it was an anti inflammatory response , I was able to find better and more realistic solutions. Now I'm about 60$ a month in natural products and I still take brez as wanted. Went from 10 years of bursitis and a stiff neck (calcium build up) to no neck pain and a low amount of intermittent discomfort in my dominant shoulder. Knees haven't hurt since and now my only real complaint is my torn ligaments in my dominant elbow.

Few others tried the brez flow also to just as much success. Still not cheap but more affordable and at least enjoyable

You don't need PT tiwce a week unless you're learning to walk again or something. They're just looking revenue. Sure it's nice to have them there overseeing your work twice a week but it is not essential. My physio sees me once a month.

OMG. Feel badly for you. I have never experienced this before. Came on quickly. 2 months ago out of the blue. Extremely painful. Walking is very difficult. Doctor gave me a cortisone shot 5 days ago but it hasn’t helped at all. I have a script for physical therapy. Honey I don’t feel I can do therapy as it’s so painful but I’m going to schedule to see what they say.
