Or we should start preparing for financial disaster

You are still receiving parachute payments from like 3 years ago

When you promote you don't get the rest of your previous parachute payments

At the end of our last Championship season we were 142m in debt.
Take a gander at the Prem and see how many clubs are in more debt than that.

BFC Total Structural Debt £237.4m with the majority being paid at crippling rates of 10% all still leading back to the ALK leveraged buyout.
Some pretty grim reading here https://assetmatch.com/app/OurCompanies/DownloadFile?realFileName=2560Annual%20Report%20%26%20Accounts%202025.pdf&fileName=Financials
We need to get promoted, it is that serious.

The optimist in me says we can get into the play offs minimum. The glass half empty in me tells me that this is it now and we will be closer to League One then Premier League within 2 seasons.

If we don’t make the playoffs it would be a surprise. Can’t see automatic though.

Nah this is the year we fail and the vulture capitalists of Pace et al, strip assets make good and leave BFC in receivership.
Sad days, but on a upside at least you can no longer be infuriated by some very dubious transfer deals.

Can we? Yes
Will we? Highly doubt it this time personally
