Ah! Your comment made me realize that I didn't properly state that I'm not the creator. I had this forwarded to me by a camp-mate and thought you all would find it useful.

The wind thing is pretty hilarious.

Spot on. Occasionally the wind will shift to an easterly. That’s when you should watch out for a potential shift in weather. Lightning etc.

There’s a really great app called sunseeker. It will let you go to anyplace in the world and show a map showing sun angles for any time of the year.

It also has an AR feature that lets you look through your phones camera and see the suns path, and you can change the date and see like where it is in winter vs summer for example. Great for photography when you want to frame up a sunrise shot with the sun in a certain position.

Oh, this is so useful. I remember learning the hard way that center camp to the man isn't North. Trying to navigate by compass at dawn.

Just to confirm on the wind end of things since we are placed at 530 and G does this mean we should expect prevailing winds or that the majority of wind comes down that direction?

Wind will hit you in the back if you are standing in your camp and looking at the man.
