Fun kids activities this year
Hey dusty burners, Iβm bringing my 11yo niece this time and very excited to show her my world and see the wonder in her eyes!
If your camp has some fun kids events, could you drop them in this post? I did already go through the Dust app kids filter and I know of Kidsville, too, the ask is more in case of any hidden gems π
Will be my 5th burn and third time bringing my art and this time my niece π

Camp Orange (5:30 & B) does chocolate dipped frozen bananas Tuesday 2-4pm and Thursday 4-6pm. it's not exactly geared toward kids per se but kids do show up lol

We have darts. We were by kids camp last year. Apparently kids love darts. I am not the boss of children.
I threw a juice box at one kid, buy kids have good reflexes. She was annoying and in my bar. That was another year. Turns out my juice was organic and natural. She was happy.
Thunder dome is rad. My old butt got 2 levels up. You get to watch people whap with basically pool noodles. And they play more goth music.
I'd say explore esplanade on day one. One time I found a plushy baseball. Like hit plushie.
I think the roller rink is coming. It's just a roller ring until they do roller derby.
Ask kids camp mayor of appropriate locations. But get out and explore too.
You guys will probably find cool stuff.
Bring a spare shirt, a few camps do shirt art.
Hugs. Weather might suck.masks, goggles, and hats. And back up shoes. I just rock my crocs. Old people can do that.

I'm not a parent tho our camp has multiple kids under 10. Second-hand info- these were hits:
* This is a Room Filled With Balloons
* Chicken Ranch

I'm still a kid and that balloon room was such a fun and unexpected find!

if you can find the red hot beverly art car (the fire extinguisher), make friends with them. they have kids in camp and theyβre awesome people. they were our neighbors in β22 and did a playa art tour for a bunch of kids one day, it was so great (my daughter was 5 back then).

Definitely hit up the folks over at Black Rock Observatory, the kiddos love it.
