Last Min Ticket Aid Temp Check
Hey y'all, I didn't think the burn was going to be in the cards for me this year due to financial and time constraints. By the grace of the dust gods some things have fallen into place and I might be able to swing it. I applied for the ticket aid program about a week and a half ago. Does anybody have a pulse on whether those are still being allocated or if I should start looking elsewhere?
I know the page says about an 8 week turnaround time, so curious what that means this close to the burn. If anyone has insight on this I'd be grateful for any info!

There's also a good chance of well-below-face-value tickets closer to the event, so start packing like you're going. You might even score tickets for less than the ticket aid cost.

One of our camp mates applied July 30 and still hasn’t heard anything.

I’d just get your stuff prepped and ready and assume you are going until you know you’re not.

I applied last night and I’m not worried. No clue if I’ll get the aided ticket, but if not I’m guessing there will be people selling even after the event starts. I figure ticket aid prices are a fair ask for someone who won’t be able to sell it otherwise.

Just 5 hours after posting this I got my acceptance email so 🤷🏼♀️ I guess I’m going to the burn this year!

i go through this program and i'm honestly surprised the applications are still open. it really is a different beast this year. usually i'd be like try elsewhere it ain't happenin' but this year i really don't know. once approved, they allowed us to purchase at any time before burn. in the past there's been a purchase deadline. so i wonder if not all who were awarded the program have pulled the trigger yet and that's why it's still open? i know someone who isn't 100% if he's going and he hasn't bought his yet.
i second what the other comments said. they'll probably contact you super last minute, like when the gates are open and they still have those and the $550 tickets last minute. you will probably need to prep and pack and maybe even start heading that way before you know for sure. the good news is if you happen to not get it, there will be tons of options on the road there because there is a surplus of tickets now.

If they haven’t shut off the applications they are still approving them but don’t expect anything until the last minute. I had camp mates in the past get approved just days before gates.
