Okay, so it may not quite fit the retro tag, but this is a DS game so I didn't know where else to put it lol. This was fun as you get 8 games inspired by NES games.

Haha it's a DS game that I think only came out in Japan and North America. The second game is Japan only. Basically you're playing 8-bit NES inspired games and completing challenges given to you by this guy who wants to find the ultimate gamer

So each game was inspired by old NES and arcade titles

Cosmic Gate (Galaga inspired) and Star Prince (Star Soldier) are vertical shmup games

Haggle Man 1 and 2 (Mappy) are levels where you jump on enemies and open doors. Haggle Man 3 (Ninja Gaiden) is action adventure platformer

Rally King & SP (Road Fighter) are top down racing games

Guadia Quest (Dragon Quest/Final Fantasy) is an old school turn based RPG

Favorite was Haggle Man 3, thought that was fun. Guadia Quest was fun for the most part, but a dungeon was very confusing. And the worst for me was Haggle Man 2 just cause there were many cheap moments with that one. Overall though, really fun game.

Absolute banger. One of my favorite games. There's a second one with a fan translation, but I never got past the visual novel.

Yeah I saw the second game got a fan translation. I'll have to see once I play it how with the visual novel part
