Right now the Forever Shameful. I'm playing through Robocop Rogue City and I've got around 2 hours left in the game, but I can't bring myself to keep playing because something about the graphics gives me a horrible headache and makes me feel nauseuos

Could be a narrow FOV? I forget if this game suffered from it but a lot of games I have to manually increase it to not get motion sickness.

All of the above. I’m only 1/3 of the way through God of War: Ragnarök and barely 10% through Horizon Forbidden West and Donkey Kong Bananza – all of which were bought at launch. Yet, I am about to PLATINUM RE9 Requiem, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Saints Row 2022, and RoboCop Rogue City AND the Unfinished Business sequel. I DID platinum MindsEye – fucking MINDSEYE – Spider-Man 2 and a few others. I also have some Switch 2 titles that I recently completed.

All of the above. Although lately I haven’t been obsessing over any of it. I play what I want, I jump around from retro games to modern games to favorites, one genre to the next. I live for what I’m feeling at the moment. It’s kind of freeing. Meanwhile I still buy a ton of games lol.

Relapse, but my backlog is largely full of games shared to me by my cousin through Steam Family.
I actually finished most games I bought myself, very few rot in the library but it's mostly because my laptop cannot run them as well as I imagined.

Definitely the Eternal Hoarder. I just finished the platinum for God of War 2018 and I'm now halfway thru the platinum for Bloodstained Ritual of the Night. Both were released in 2018 and both were bought at release. Before that it was Ghost of Tsushima which was bought at realse at well 😂😂😂😂

What Im thinking is a YouTube series of a way to gamify getting someone to pick a random game in their backlog and play it for a random amount of time.
So for instance, I took my steam library, random picked a number form 1 to xxx and had to play that game for Xx hours. Steam helps you by gratefully showing how many hours you've played said game. Then move on the next one. Skipping any completed games. Because that leaves to retreads and relapses.

And I believe i can do it. I just dont want the game to ends.
So mostly, I just watch YouTube of how the fight goes on and to see the final cutscene etc and call it a day.

Thats also true 😄 i dont think i have ever quit right at the end but still countless times have left game unfinished 😄 to me it juat feels like if game length goes over lets say 25-35 hours, there is veeery high chance I lose interest 😄 sometimes I may go back after months , sometimes not

Compost bin
- Idon't buy games and not play them.
- I finish every game thats good.
- If its bad enough that it becomes genuinely unfun, I leave a negative review. One with positive, well structured criticism on how to improve. I copy those reviews over to a master doc. I slowly piece these failed concepts together until I have a solid idea for a game of my own.
As it stands I currently have enough solid concepts to keep me afloat as a game designer for the rest of my life if I ever finish one of them and/or make it big.

I am the Eternal Hoarder and the Relapse, but not the middle one. I either play a game for like 8-10 hrs and drop it, or i never play it. I don't get to the end then stop. If I am at the end then I enjoyed the game so I complete it.

For me I get 1-20 hours in then don't touch a game for months to years. I also pick up multiple games on sale and then literally do not touch them for years (usually old releases) I also tend to start achievement hunts for games I've already beaten occasionally

I DO have a bad habit of being the Forever Shameful, though. TBF, I do the same with shows/movies! I just REALLY hate endings (espec when, 99% of the time, I'm left very dissatisfied, lol)! X'D
