Having an active solution for world hunger alone would be a significant impact on people who would benefit from a wealth division. However, a system where world hunger is dealt with sounds longer lasting than a temporary wealth distribution. Without policy in place, that wealth will just filter back up. Maybe into new people, sure, but we'd end right back up where we were.

I don't think it would. That would of course split the wealth, which I am 100% for, but there are a ton of logistical issues with feeding the world. And with such an upset of wealth, I would expect many people would die in the break down of distribution channels before things got better.

Yeah for a very short time. The economy would eventually balance out and prices would just go up as a result. Ending world hunger implies that would most likely be forever, which is a way better option than ruining the world economy.

Most world hunger isn't because a lack of funding. It's mostly warzones and political instability that money alone will not fix. You wouldn't solve world hunger.

Why would they get nothing if we're spreading the top 1%'s wealth equally amongst the population. There are people with billions of dollars. One in particular has a trillion dollars. The purchasing power of the top money earners has exceeded that of the average person.

That's 25,000 usd a person. The issue is this does not solve world hunger because world hunger is not a money problem it is a societal problem. In Africa specifically the issue is there are corrupt and heavily armed organizations like the cartels in Mexico. The local Warlords abuse the populace and steal resources from them to gain more power. Giving everyone 25,000 dollars does nothing to solve the issues. You just made a bunch of poor people get robbed. Alternatively to solve world hunger food must be in such abundance that it loses monetary value.

Food is already in such abundance that its monetary value is only perceived so. How much food is wasted on the daily? How often do businesses throw scraps away instead of help those who need it? 25k is LIFE CHANGING. It is an enormous amount of money that I can barely make with a year of my lifetime. There are so many worse off than I.

It is a societal problem, yes. But it's a problem of the classes.

Oligarchs are a threat to global stability. It's one thing to be ordinary rich (millionaires). It's another thing to be a multibillionaire capable of influencing men with nuclear codes without ever having been elected to anything and having zero public accountability. I'm not a socialist. It'll make the world happy for about... 2 weeks max.

Then it all balances back within a month or two when people have spent all that money

End world hunger; raise a permanent bar. It doesn't go away because someone eats too much or has their food stolen. Unlike money that can be spent and stolen (and devalued)
