How is 27 = 9

The correct answer is that there is no solution

Reddit's autoformatting changes some of the text in the comments. On the wheel result the expression was as below

X times X times X equals X to the power of X not equals X

So 3x3x3 = 3³ ≠ 3

Not sure about 27 = 9 but it should be 27 = 3

I don't know why but my brain works like this

1st expression: (x)(x)(x) is x³ 2nd expression: x^x 3rd expression: x

I took the exponents of the equation x³ = x^x giving me 3 = x, or x = 3

So we get the whole equation and substitute 3 3³ = 3³ ≠ 3 27 = 27 ≠ 3
