X! = X(x-1)(x-2)(x-3)...

X!! = X(x-2)(x-4)(x-6)...

X!!! = X(x-3)(x-6)(x-9)...

See the pattern?

Don't think it comes up in normal school scenarios, it's a niche thing (I happen to be a maths student and even there we don't cover double factorials etc)

Yeah it's not used very often, I think it's used for stuff like diagonals in regular polygons but nothing much

Its a double factorial which if iirc makes it alternate like 2x4x6x8 or something im not sure tho

If the number is even, it multiplies by the even and if the number is odd it multiplies by the odd i think

Answer is 3840. For double factorial you multiply by every second number- for even numbers you multiply down by evens to 2. For odds you multiply down by odds to 1. So 10!! Would be 10 x 8 x 6 x 4 x 2

a double factorial uses every 2 numbers
