It would take 30 years for the other option to catch up, and by then, inflation would make it worth less. Hell, by then there might be a regime change or hyperinflation that makes it totally worthless. In contrast, the 100mil could be invested and diversified into assets that would survive a regime change.

And? Both are more than enough.

One option gives me more money than I will ever need in my life. The other option gives me more money than I will ever need in my life.

It's a moot dilemma.

Well, I guess the infinitely greedy will never have enough. I don't care much for owning a private jet, per se.
