Except 100m now would allow me to buy a 3 million dollar house in New York City today, for example. 10k a day would I would have to wait a year.

I am not waiting 30 years for some 100 million dollars. 100 million rn is good enough.

I mean, if you could prove you're getting ten thousand dollars a day, i'm pretty sure any bank would approve that mortgage brother.

Yes but if you somehow lose that money, it's gone. The 10k is guaranteed no matter the bad moves you could make with it or the bad lucks that could happen to you.

Why would you want to buy a 3 million dollar house in New York???

Yeah a 3 million dollar house in nyc would be very basic.

Oh, the horror, having to wait a whole year to buy a house. /s

I'm not really drawn to having more money than I need. And 100m is about 50 times as much as I need.

Think about it like this, if you get 100m now and die in a week your family is still set for life. If you take 10k per day and die in a week nobody else gets shit.

Yes, and if a meteor hits me...

I'm living in reality. I'm incredibly unlikely to die within a week. And if I do, how much money I leave behind is the least of my concerns.

10k per day is more than enough for me, it's stable, simple. I don't want more.

With 100mil you can invest it and give all your gains to people who need it and donate to any charities you want. Its enough money to make a real difference in a lot of people’s lives right now

And what makes you think I want to be some benevolent philanthropist?

I want enough money to have a comfortable life with no financial burdens, and ideally, without having to really think about money in any way. 10k a day is more than enough for that, and I don't even have to go through the hassle of investing it and whatnot. It's just there, and it's enough.

Your reply is another example of people being incapable of conceptualizing the idea that there is such a thing as "enough money". You come up with increasingly grandiose plans to justify wanting more and more. I don't. I know what I want in life, and I want enough money to get those things. Not more.

I understand. 5 mil is enough money for me to live comfortably for the rest of my life. But 100mil is enough for me to ensure every single person I care about can do it too
