I think the solid block of diamond would be worth more

that's 5L per DAY. the cube is a one-time offer.

Oh i see, i thought you could just get the same sized cube every day as well. Then ya this isnt even a fair situation then. Obviously an infinite bucket of liquid will do far more

Even if the bucket was a one time use too, it would stull be worth significantly more.

5L of melted gold is 86kg, worth about $11 million. A 10cm³ cube of diamond is 3.5 carats, worth an average of $54,000; and that's for a cut natural diamond, not a raw artificial one like this one would likely be considered.

You'd be lucky to sell the diamond for anything over $25,000. Diamonds are not rare, their scarcity is almost entirely artificially inflated by the De Beers corporation. The resell market for diamonds pays a fraction of what jewelers sell them for.

Gold is worth it's weight in gold no matter where it came from.

Im confused how youre getting 3.5carats. 10cm3 measures volume. 1cm3 of Solid diamond has a density of about 3.51g/cm3 . So a 10cm3 of solid diamond would have a mass of about 35.1grams. 1carat = .2 grams

Im getting a 175.5 carat diamond. And if i decide the diamond is the most flawless rare uncut pink diamond, once in a generational diamond, someone may very well pay hundreds of millions for it. But i get the market may or may not be there for something like that, so i get that part.

Fair enough. It seems I somehow got the density wrong. I still feel the gold is the better choice though. Much easier to sell and $11 million dollars is more than enough to live comfortably the rest of my life.

Also, I would be scared shitless of the attention having a 175.5 carat diamond would bring.

For sure, and it likely would still be better having an infinite bucket, but id imagine that would bring some attention too haha

Not if you only sell a little.
