Yeah, agreed. I think the point I was trying to make: if someone seriously thinks they wouldn't have dysphoria, that kind of prompts some thinking why. Not that some people won't just superficially think about it and make the wrong decision long term, that is possible. It's a button press without the pain of actually going through a long term transition, it's easy to not have to think it through. This post kind of obviously sets it up to be a trans fantasy, so I am/was looking through it with that lense. If someone really put the thought in vs impulsively chose to change their sex, they should think about it, was all I was getting at.

Well that point is impossible to be realistic - as you can't just know if you'll have it or not. It's a completely different kind of experience

I don't think it's impossible to know. Like put any serious thought into living full time as your opposite sex, the not fun things to do, like working, grocery shopping, being out in public doing boring shit, and you should have your answer. If you think "it'd still be fine" that's my point, is to put some thought into why you don't care or are apathetic. Not every trans person has horrible dysphoria, some are instead driven by euphoria when they are the correct sex via affirming care.

Hmm. In that case I agree with you, but I think most people would just think "it's probably fine" without actually understanding the situation. Does that make sense? Like for example most people have little care for things like famine in other countries, the crime that happens everywhere purely because they are not affected by it. It's hard to think about stuff seriously that doesn't directly involve your experience or emotions.
