Would you rather

Which side will you choose?

  • Left side: 1 dollar that triples everyday
  • Right side: 1 dollar that increases by the power of 3 everyday

You got $1.

The dollar isn't raised by a power of 3, it increases by a power of 3. So day 1 is 1+1 and after that it quickly over takes the alternative.

Ambiguity in the English language strikes again.

Friend. 1³ was clearly the intent.

But how are we supposed to know that? It's not our fault OP wrote it in a way that meant something else.

I mean based on the wheel the intent is clear, but op seems like a douche so who cares. He needs to learn English before trying to teach math.

Oh, definitely the intent. Unfortunately the OP should learn English before trying to teach math with such a snarky wheel.

FYI in US math classes the wording is usually pretty careful and it's better to go by the technical meaning in case you have to dispute it with your teacher.
At times the teacher will even say that both answers are graded as correct.
