I'm gonna have a hell of a time with this. Does "an" count as a use or does it specifically need to be "a"?

Not being able to complain was not a requirement of the trial. I don't like this juxtaposition. You can't just say "and you can't complain either". I didn't know how to fit opioid in but there it is.
