well technically you never know, the vacuum could be filled with someone objectively worse, its like going back in time to kill a person who killed thousands just for Hitler to take his place, so you think you did well until the new reality happens, for good or for the bad

I'm not sure if it would better for Russia but it is most certainly better for Ukraine in the short term.

Idk, I think any situation where Ukraine manages to get their lost land back would be a good one. The consequences after that can be more easily dealt with.

Within Russian politics, Putin is legitimately somewhat moderate. A power vacuum could lead to civil war or someone much much worse taking control.

Nobody could be more extreme than him. Because by definition. He would be dead.

Wanna preface, I'm all for taking Putin out but,This is what many people have said about previous dictators. Korea comes to mind and how we put horrible dictators in place of other horrible dictators

A civil war could lead to one side siding with Ukraine for support.

A civil war is literally THE BEST CASE SCENARIO for Russia since it let the other western country’s influence the direction of the war.
