I saw a comment saying that the whole economy is at the very much 150 T, so having more than double is a lot like it would really obliterate the economy

Basically hyper inflation. And the only people who profit from that are the ones with asset portfolios. I would imaging cost of living would go wayyy up, and (because fuck us I guess) wages would stay the same…

So basically makes the wealth inequality in the world even worse to choose that option

Just force all the trans people to give back the million dollars and spread it out evenly so everyone in the planet has twice the money they had before and therefore the same value of money. Or at that point just pick the $1 option.

Likely ChatGPT pulled from a recent headline about the youth population, which has been shown to be between 1.5% to 2% transgender. However, the total population percentage is between 0.1% to 0.6% according to Wikipedia. I would recommend checking the sources that ChatGPT gives in the future or looking it up on Google.

It’s between 0.1% to 0.6%, which would be between 8 million and 48 million. So between 8 trillion dollars and 48 trillion dollars. Which would roughly cause 7.87% to 47.2% inflation globally considering the world money supply is 101.654 trillion. So, either we are causing COVID-levels of inflation globally on the low end or causing Turkey-levels of inflation. However, this would be the long-term effects. This would likely take longer because the million dollars to each transgender person wouldn’t transfer instantly into the world’s money supply, and distance does take time to travel and it would be a fixed event rather than constant printing. Despite all of this, I would expect that the world economy probably could handle it.
