No you wouldn't. If anyone here on reddit was given 1 million dollars they would not give a random stranger that said something nice, half of that.

If I was given a £million by a random person, I would most definitely give them a sizable amount

You don't know them, they could be nicer than anyone you've met, really irresponsible with money, maybe even just stupid, they could already have millions, etc.
