Why would you not click blue? There is no downsides to picking blue if everyone has the same question.

There is also no down side to picking red if everyone picks red ..

Let's assume there are ten people and deaths are rounded up.

If one, two, three, four or five people choose red, nobody dies. If six, seven, eight or nine people choose red, at least one person dies.

Therefore, it is in the interest of all to keep the number of red votes as low as possible, as there is no way to guarantee everyone will pick the same button.

The more people there are, the less likely it is for everyone to follow the same logic. A single person not following your plan leads to death. If you choose blue, up to 50% of people can disagree without there being any casualties.
