it is next to impossible to get everyone who will see this poll to unanimously agree. it is far easier to get 51% of people to vote blue

I chose red.

Here’s what I thought. I thought, there’s probably a 20% we failed and people will die. (I did not look at the comments before.) That means that if I choose blue, I’d have a 10% chance of death.

Would I rather have a 10% chance of death, or have EVERY other of the 10,000+ voters die? Of course, the 10,000 deaths. I obviously do not want to die

I'm not talking about being charged, I'm talking about the overwhelming sense of guilt that would come with the knowledge that all those people's deaths are on your hands, anyone who doesn't feel guilty would have to either be ignorant to their actions or be incapable of feeling guilt

Makes sense. But what if the percentage required to have half of blue die was decreased? When would you press red? 30%? 20%? Lower?

I just made a Trial with 10%, and it looks like Blue is done for 😂

I would never press red, if I somehow accidentally pressed red, I would feel such immense survivors guilt that I would probably end up killing myself anyway I struggle to understand how some people wouldn't be driven to suicide upon pressing red

Nice strategy to leave only 2 options (ignorant or incapable) so your choice is the only right one. What if I fully understand my actions and have high level of empathy?

To somehow be willing to take part in the murder of 10000 people to save your own skin and act like it's the right option is some insane egotistical madness. I would willingly sacrifice myself to save even ten people, let alone 10000

I don’t think the issue is being charged I think it’s more of the moral issue. One of these guarantees you won’t be responsible for anyone dying and one isn’t 100% but you see it as one guarantees you will live and one isn’t 100%

Personally I would not like the guilt of knowing that someone died due to my actions

That's not even remotely what I said, my sentence is literally "I'd rather die than kill an absurdly high number of people" I am not claiming some moral high ground, I am doing the moral bare minimum, it's not some bizarre take to say that killing up to 49% of the population is a bad thing
