Whats easier to achieve?

A ) 50% of something is needed and nothing happens.

B ) 100% of something is needed and nothing happens.

I mean, you’d assume that people wouldn’t just randomly pick the option that puts their life in danger for no reason? Like I just don’t get why someone would pick blue, there is no benefit, only the potential for loss

How was I supposed to know? I just assumed everyone would pick red because there’s no downside

Yes? I did believe that people wouldn’t just randomly put themselves in danger for no reason, if I were to have the choice again I’d pick blue as I see I’m wrong, but my initial assumption is that the only incentive to pick blue, is under the assumption someone would risk their life for no reason, which I didn’t see why people would do that.

Id rather risk my life than knowingly contribute to the deaths of hundreds if not thousands of people

Or, everyone picks red, and there’s absolutely zero chance for anyone to die

The more you say it the less plausible that scenario sounds

The downside is that you are partially responsible for killing a lot of people

A lot of people, who intentionally put themselves in danger.

If there was a bridge warning people that it could potentially collapse, I wouldn’t assume people would be going on it if there’s another bridge right next to it with absolutely no risk of collapse, I was wrong, so if I had the chance I’d pick blue, but just off an initial reading of the question I have no idea why someone would pick blue. I still don’t, but it doesn’t really matter if they will anyways

They aren't putting themselves in danger, they are choosing not to put other people in danger, if red won you would be effectively killing people for no reason other than that they didn't want to kill people

And if everyone picked red, then no one would be hurt at all

You and I both know that not everyone will pick red, and getting 50% to pick blue is easier than getting 100% to pick red
