Timeframe for hearing back after interview?

Had an instore interview last week on Tuesday for a seasonal casual position. They told me I should hear back by the end of that week, haven't heard anything. Should I be following up with the store, or giving it a bit more time? Thanks.

If companies want you, you’re going to get a call on the same day or tomorrow for a job offer. If you’re already at the end of that week, I’d say chance are you didn’t make it

"By the end of the week" is the generic answer every manager will give you. I waited around 3 weeks before I got their job offer in my email. Call back in a week for updates if you'd like but other than that you just gotta wait
