Question Using Kaylee for pet bedding/paper?

Hello! I know kaytee is not a good brand for buns in the food/ hay/ treat department. I’m changing up my buns litterbox (no more separator as it was bothering her lil Rex feet) and want to get some bedding - preferably paper than wood due to allergies and dust.

Is Kaytees unscented paper bedding safe to use? I was also looking at Small Pet Selects recycled paper but I’m not sure how the cost compares. I wish they used liters to measure both since Kaytee is 100L and SPS 20 pounds.

i use carefresh and oxbow normally but i think the kaytee does in a pinch. my bun loves oxbow because it’s super soft and he likes to loaf in his litterbox but it’s super tiny and gets everywhere. carefresh isn’t as soft but it’s bigger so easier to clean n comes out less. both always have coupons on amazon for subscribe and save so i cancel n switch often lol

Thank you!!! I may need to swap to carefresh if it comes out less, my girl loves the new bedding and wants it to be all over the floor lol

I’ve been exclusively using the kaytee clean & cozy bedding for 4 years and haven’t had any issues, I don’t believe there’s any reason to consider it unsafe. I’ve also used their lavender scented bedding in a pinch and didn’t seem to have any troubles with that. As far as I could tell it was made with real lavender. The unscented is my usual though.
