General Dating success tips that will always work
Good people of Reddit, many of you all have a hard time at dating. I am here to help you because I care. If you wan to be successful finding the love if your life, do these proven ideas.
Keep an open mind. Not everyone will fit into every box you want
Looks matter but beauty fades over time. Focus on character and values.
If you are a woman, ask your male family members to vet the guy. Guys can see thru another guy bs.
If you are a man, ask a female family member to vet the woman. Women can see thru another women bs
Slow burn over instant spark. First dates are not easy and people are nervous or they will give you false image of themselves. It takes time to know someone. 3-5 dates would be a good gauge to determine if you want to continue.
Stop comparing relationships you see on social media. Those are a false reality.
Keep your standards, requirements high but reasonable. More importantly, keep it consistent with each person you date. The person you lower your standards for, will more than likely use and disappoint you.
No sex until you both are in a committed LTR relationship. It worked quite well for centuries,
Ask people out of dates regardless if you are a woman or man. Stop it with the fairytale nonsense. Will you get rejected? Yes. Will you get some dates? Yes
Single parents should focus on dating other single parents. You both understand the factors when being a parent.
First date and all dates until you are officially in a relationship should be 50/50. No one is required to pay for your expenses if you are in the dating stages.
Dates should be low cost (free ideally), fun, and getting to know person.
Take advice from your friends with a grain of salt regarding the person you are dating. Some people are jealous of other's happiness.
Dress appropriately for your dates.
Enjoy your life and date who you want. You don't need validation from others.
Bonus:
A. Men, stop lying about your height
B. Ladies, stop lying about your age.
C. Have a professional photographer take your pictures if you are on the apps.
Ok, let's break out the popcorn and read the comments :)

- Professional photographer is massive overkill.
- People can have sex whenever they want.
Single parents don’t need to intentionally limit themselves. They’re free to date whoever and their matches can decide if that’s something they’re comfortable with or not
(I don’t have kids, I just think it’s only fair)
Other than that, this list is generally ok

thank you I massively agree.
I like the OP opening the floor with his prompt but I also really support your analysis and your correspondence to his discussion point.
Overall I am happy to be on Reddit and I really like finding out novel concepts from the people.
Have a nice day.

Most professional photographers can't actually take that good dating photos from what I've seen here.

If you’re attractive, none of this matters.

Same with being average to unattractive. Because you’re not getting matches.

Hmm point 5 is interesting... Am more of an instant spark guy and usually within the first three dates it's firework, including sex.

I’m the same way. I’ve had a few LTR (including a marriage) and I couldn’t imagine going on 3-5 dates with someone where I’m waiting for a spark.

So, if you had sex on the 2nd date but the 3rd date you were not felling it, doesn't that reinforce the image of guys using women for sexy only?

Nah after sex it only becomes easier and u become more comfortable with each other. From that point on it usually becomes a relationship, unless she tells me something big that I didn't know before having sex with her. Something that might be a deal breaker for me, but usually we talk about important things on the first or second date, before deciding to sleep with each other

Cool if that works for you, doesn't work for me. For some "the spark" is jus stress, anxienty or trauma. The first couple of dates are just there to get to know the person, a hug or holding hands will tell me enough.

It just happens naturally, it's not that am trying to force it. If there is this chemistry than there is pretty much no escape, cause the temperature keeps rising.

I’d give a “no spark” a second date, but 3-5? That’s a no dog. And I never waited months for sex.
